vitrex 13w "grout remover" screwfix 28 quid

Post by Deleted-user-3 »

hi all, https://www.screwfix.com/p/vitrex-grout ... 230v/75540
so goes gets this thing from screwfix according to reviews on screwfix its all dogs digglies, brilliant bit of kit..
gets it home.... bzzzzz you're moving about 0.5cm a second just to get a good bit of a key... thought pants bit of kit, went and got multi tool out of van stuck diamond abrasive in and zapped it out 50 times quicker..
does have a use though... behind towel rad can't get multi tool in but could tuck this behind so did that and into corners can't get multi tool so actually pretty handy...
thing is, all it is is an engraving tool... specifically this https://www.amazon.co.uk/Hi-Spec-Electr ... B013OYM0OW
this is mine, even came with the stencils 😁

All my advice should be taken with a rather large pinch of salt, all the gear, absolutely no idea whatsoever ;)

Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.

Well that was my first thought bit after I used it to get behind the towel rad without removing it and the tap etc I felt it did actually live up to its billing as "grout removal tool", just not the rave reviews and I'm still in two minds about the cheeky rip off of an amazon product mysteriously now out of stock... would you call that genius marketing on behalf of screwfix or blatant profiteering from an Inferior product? dunno myself, I might just post THIS review on screwfix website and see if any pigeon feathers get shed 😂

might keep it, and still moan at them... might get me money back and a free "grout piggler" that doubles as an engraving tool for the missus arts n crafts... it isn't 28 quids worth by a long way being cheap Chinese low wattage crap as for another couple of quid I can buy a 150watt engraving tool cum "grout remover" with a much bigger and more versatile set of bits...
it did li d of get me out of the sh*t though so
