Server downtime 26-02-2022

Apologies for the site being down for almost 24 hours on the 26 February 2022. The site is hosted on a dedicated server in a Manchester data centre. The forum started playing up at approximately 17:45 on the 26th February.

I have very little control over the server and can only log into the control panel, but on this occasion, I could not log into the sites WHM or Cpanel

Several support tickets were raised from my end, and getting to the exact problem took the server management company a long time. Eventually a faulty hard drive was diagnosed and replaced, even though it took almost 24 hours of downtime to find the problem.

The hard drive has now been replaced; it may take a while for the forum to recover fully. I can only apologise, but it is something that I have zero control over.

Just as a matter of interest, I wanted to reply to this thread as my alter-ego. There is no reply box showing and quick quotes is also not working

Edit, obvs both work in Moderator mode.

I posted this originally in the "Welcome to the Ultimate Handyman DIY Forum", I think I originally set it up, so that people could not reply to posts in that forum.

I only posted it in that forum, as it's at the top of the forum, so everyone would see it.

Didn't think to post it globally until you mentioned it
