R.I.P. Dennis Waterman
As the title suggests, Dennis Waterman Has passed away, he was 74, I never liked Minder, I will remember him as George Carter, the sweeney.
Above are my opinions Below is my signature.
Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.
If gloom had a voice, it would be me.

R.I.P. Dennis Waterman
Dennis Waterman has admitted beating his former wife in a candid television interview that has caused outrage after critics accused him of trivialising domestic violence.
After years of denying he had been abusive, the television actor confessed to punching his first wife, Rula Lenska, on two occasions, before adding: "She certainly wasn't a beaten wife, she was hit and that's different."
His words provoked an instant barrage of criticism with women's refuge groups lambasting the actor for trying to downplay his violence and make excuses for his outbursts.
So yeah. RIP.

I recall Sean Connery got into bother when he admitted he 'dotted' his wife on occasions a few years back. Times have changed, it was common for home correction in the 30's and attitudes and acceptance have changed over the years. Whilst I don't condone hitting women I think it is viewed more sensitively today than 50 years ago. I always thought Waterman was an actor type, more or less playing the same role in different series. There are parallels between his characters in The Sweeny and Minder. But I feel it was the shows that made him rather than him making the shows. I enjoyed both. Another point missed by most was that he played Just William as a child actor, I faintly remember seeing it.
