I intend to buy a Titan compressor from screwfix for occasional use, it will be used for inflating tyres and the blow gun for clearing dirt in hard to reach areas.
The coupling size is 3/8 on the Titan 24Ltr Electric Oil-Free Air Compressor from the Q & A on the screwfix site.
Can I buy 1/4 fittings to fit it as it seems a more popular size for accessories and I will also need a push pull air tyre inflator for a twin wheel vehicle.

Nope.

But you could do what I did. Buy a decent rubber air hose, and change the fitting on the far end (Via an adaptor)
Also I got a tyre inflator non calibrated, (Cheaper that way) very easy to calibrate

Then you can "plug in" 1/4 inch fittings

Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.

Hmmnn.
The attachment, be it inflator, blowgun, sprayer, wrench, chisel etc. should have a male spigot, There are two types of spigot, PCL & Euro. 1/4 or (less likely) 3/8 thread into/onto the attachment depends on the attachment, but the spigot pattern is of the chosen type. You can easily buy these on fleabay, A-zon & even (guy near me) car boot sale stalls .
The end of the hose from the compressor has a 3/8(?) female union, into which you fit a male thread, female socket of your chosen (PCL or Euro) type.
You repeat this with all your air powered tools - the hose end remains the same - as chosen, either PCL or Euro, and then ANY of your tools plug into the hose from the compressor.
Simples. That's how industry & motor trade does it.

Compressor fittings
Air line fittings are a mare, find a standard and stick to like PCL the lower end of the market have lots of fitting types, word of warning tho, if you change the one on the compressor be careful of the manifold as the pot metal can crack very easily 1 turn of gas PTFE on the fitting is enough
first thing to get is a moisture trap if you work the compressor it will build plenty of moisture - the smaller the tank the more the compressor runs - more water it produces
forget about air tools on anything smaller than 3hp 50l tank setup you may get away with a 2hp 20L, but it will work hard for a living
