I have recently purchased this and there seems to be an adjustment screw on the top left flex cutter block that is not referred to on the instructions or any YouTube upload on the product.
It is marked + and - what's it for does anyone know ?

Why not try it max one way, then max the other way.

i purchased a set from toolstation a few years ago - and the adjustment was for thickness of wire
does this help

It adjusts the clamping force of the left hand cable grip. Depending on the cable diameter, if set too far negative, the cable will slip instead of being gripped firmly for stripping.
