Hi,

Here's a truly sad story which I think any woodturner should take seriously;

Kind regards, Colin.

Woodturning danger.

I have seen some things on the internet where people have turned down odd lumps of wood. It only needs one edge to catch the blade and snatch the chisel away at speed. I have not done much turning but at school, we had to virtually get the blank round before turning. That and making sure it was fixed to a plate properly. I found turning a bit boring and although I had a second hand one I hardly used it and sold it on.
