hi guys just looking for some advice,
have a tiny house that i renovated 2 years ago, it was recommended to use lime plaster as it was old stone. It was plastered with NHL 2 and despite the plasterer not being an expert in lime it seems to have cured ok.
We painted with a silicate based paint (recommended by paint shop) for lime.
The paint is constantly flaking and getting fuzzy and peeling off the wall.
I have been doing some research online and it seems that crown trade alkali resisting primer seems to help with the chalkiness and flaking of the lime.
Although it says on the tin is it suitable for newly plastered lime i wonder does this affect the breathability of the lime?
At my wits end trying to sort it. If anyone here had some advise or experience of this product on lime I would be very grateful.
many thanks
