So, local council organised a Royal picnic in the park yesterday, Sunday, Entertainment on a stage, various local groups and charities running stalls, exhibits such as a local steam roller, local fire brigade brought one of their engines along for the kiddies to explore.
Unfortunatley due to the ground being slightly waterlogged thanks to Saturdays rain, after about 2 hours the fire truck started sinking into the grass and they needed to call out a huge recovery truck to winch them out...
Took the recovery truck a good 40 mins to extract the fire engine which then moved to hard standing...
Unfortunatley during the rescue the recovery truck itself became bogged down...
Sooooo they brought back the fire truck to act as an anchor for the winch for the recovery truck, with the steam roller in place incase they both got stuck...
Anyway the recovery truck rescued the fire and rescue truck then the fire and rescue truck rescued the recovery truck
So who invoices who for what ?
You couldn't make it up.

Picnic in the park Sunday.
A great entertainment though Some clot did not think that through. We were at a street party on my sons's suburban road. There are enthusiastic organisers live in the road and it is more for the adults in the main. There was live music and it was all very enjoyable. Struck camp at 8pm when the road had to be reopened. It was a nice event made better by the perfect weather.
