I want to assemble 2 solvent weld elbows with 32mm waste pipe.
Years ago I purchased Solvent weld glue/cement and once opened and not used again for several weeks. It had gone off, as a waste.
As I need so little, could I use Superglue gel to make these joints ?
Thanks

Superglue degrades with long term water exposure.
The "glues" used on solvent weld aren't actually glues, they are thickened solvents which "melt" the plastic so when it bonds it actually becomes a single piece.
Now if you were assembling something out in the garden for instance, or a quick temporary fix where leaks aren't a problem then go ahead (Gosforth handyman Andy uses plumbers mate to seal joints temporarily in this case which is a great idea) but if you are doing a permanent job then don't risk it as dwd says.
