DOT & DAB ONTOOLD BRICK WITH LIME MORTAR

Morning

We're in the process of renovating our old house. Stripped all walls back to brick and removed ceilings back to the joists. Brick walls are old with lime mortar joints

Had a plasterer round who has suggested that we blue grit the internal walls then D&D & skim External walls suggestion is metal stud, 100mm insulation, vapour barrier then board.

Our concern is damp.

Anyone on here had any experience with this type of old build? Will this give us any damp issues in the future
