Cupboard Shelving

Post by 2good »

Hi

Looking to shelve a cupboard ( built in wardrobe)

It’s empty and recently built within a converted garage.

Looking to fit several shelf and possible a rail

My plan was to fit batons to the studs to hold the shelves but they are pretty long 1.8m. 16mm Conti board being used for the shelf

My concern is they will sag in the middle

Any advice?

Thanks

Yes, they will sag, they will sag leaning against a wall. You can screw underneath verticle crossrails on edge that wiĺl help but much will depend on loading. Screw through from the face or use joint blocks at a push.
