any ideas what this circular saw blade is for?

looks like an old B&D cross cut saw blade, probably late 70's to mid 80's...

But its not sharp and has no set. I thought it might be a specialist blade for cutting plastics (upvc or fibreglass). I'd never even heard of friction sawing until i started looking into this! I thought that's what you did when your blade was knackered and it burned its way through!

I think it might be for cutting Formica. I recall back in the past that I saw a blade like this cutting the 8 by 4 sheets, it gives a thin cut to minimise waste and gives a clean neat cut. Might be wrong.

It's an Industrial blade, so not retail, the giveaway is the word "friction"

If you look up friction in an old catalogue..................

edit. Thinking about it, the blade would act as a shear/nibbler
