I have to replace my Stanley Fatmax 18v drill.
The batteries I have are good batteries, but they not marked as V20 as the new batteries.
My batteries are ‘FMC687L’ (Li-ion - 18v Lithium) manufactured 2017.
They look the same as those marked as V20 online, just not marked as V20.
My question: Would my batteries be compatible with the new V20 range of brushless drills
Stanley Fatmax 18v Battery is it compatible …

For the definitive answer why not ask the maker of your proposed new drill.
At a guess I would say if the V stands for volts, and your new drill is 20v and your old drill is 18v, they should work, but will never run as fast as the correct battery, and they will not last as long.

Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.

Ok,
Just had a reply from Stanley
The original ion 18v Lithium batteries of 2018 era.
Cannot be used with the V20 range of Fatmax tools even though they are too 18v
