How to lay down a flat waterproof strip

Post by gringogordo »

A few years ago I took the lowest price on decorating my bathroom. Not a bad job except for the bath panel.

I had a blockage a while ago and took the panel off and I've managed to scratch the flooring quite badly but also to get the bath panel in a better alignment.

Before I use sealant to put it back together I'd like to lay a 20 - 30 cm layer of something thin over the floor where the panel goes down. The bulge at the shower end is 15 - 20 cm out of line with the narrow end of the bath. Ideally a really resilient waterproof white length of 'sticker' would be what I want but I'm struggling to find what I need.

I realise for most people on this forum this is a bodge job but really I want to do the minimum to reduce just how bad it looks but t extend the life of the existing flooring (etc) for a couple of years. Can anyone suggest something I can lay over the flooring / or a different approach ?

Thanks,

Ben.
