Which Action Camera - (GoPro type)?

I want to buy an Action Camera to capture some of my walking and eBike jaunts.
I'm looking for a sturdy and reliable model so probably on the expensive side rather
than "cheap & cheerful".

Any hints and tips on usage +/ accessories, e g modes of attachment, memory, spare batteries etc
would also be most welcome.

Go-pro used to be the "go to" action camera, but so I read they are not as good as they were. I guess it's a case of have a look round and see what you like. I am still looking for a camera.

You reflect my research in that GoPro seem to have rested on their laurels after gaining a world wide positive reputation.
The video review of the generations of the GoPro and examination of present alternatives was excellent - T Y.
That video, and it's Comments section, have been a most useful launch pad for my further pre-purchase research.
