Open mouth fake surprise

I have noted of late that a lot of moronic people on TV have adopted the habit of mock surprise when they stare with an open mouth as if totally surprised and shocked over something quite banal. More so since Mrs D has insisted on watching Big Brother where there is such an array of morons who all seem to be either screaming or open mouthed goons. There was one idiot called Kerri (now evicted) who is very fat and used a mobility scooter to get around the set. She apparently is on a leave of absence from her National Health Patient Experience manager's non job. It shows why the NHS is in trouble if they can employ such a thick, screeching, sweary moron in a job she says puts her n the 40% tax bracket. I despair.

Sorry for your pain, I suggest taking a bottle of your favorite tipple and a couple of lads mags out to the workshop while the Mrs has it on.
You might even look forward to it then!

I am invariably on my laptop with earphones in when it is on. These morons scream so much I can still hear them which results in me making an acid comment that annoys Mrs D.

I don't watch "Reality" (Is that the right word?) Programmes, the "novelty" has long gone, but one thing I will say, is point a camera at someone, and it's often like their brain switches off. They just do the most ridiculous things, I suspect this is the same? after all, all programmes do is make money for the production company, at first BB was interesting (As it had never been done before) but now.............

same same when with Family in Thailand and their TV is on; if you think British tv promotions are bad, I cannot avoid a scowl at the adverts which last longer than the film sections that they constantly interrupt. Mine are noise cancelling, complete ear cover phones and whilst the tv is on and yet they are still scrolling though Facebook etc on their smart phones, I use the mute button on the remote and sometimes they do not notice being tied into smart phone rubbish.
Luckily their data connections are brilliant and I can get some films and series through Prime, though limited and not conveniently listed by country, atm going through Jack Ryan series.
Not sure if I will stay with Prime next year when they introduce advertising, likely there will be a cop out dearer option?

There is not a lot on Prime but we have watched some good series. I enjoyed the Jack Ryan series, the first was the best, and I am very slowly watching the current series. Do watch Bosch there are about 7 series and it is one of the best detective shows on TV written by Micheal Connelly.
