Viessmann Vitola 111 oil boiler uncommanded heat
Hello all. I have a Viessmann 111 boiler, with a Vitotronic 200 KW2 controller, that always concerns me during cold weather. Current temps are minus 1-3C overnight and 2-5C through the day. In an attempt to rectify my current issue, I switch off the heating and DHW circuits overnight. This does not stop the anti-icing system from working, which I understand. However, the boiler seems to run constantly, I checked last night and it fires up every 15 minutes or so for 5-6 minutes. Additionally, the radiators get sufficiently hot that I do not need to switch on the heating circuit to keep the house warm. Our engineer advised at the last service, two months ago, that this was normal and that the boiler only used a miniscule amount of oil. I do not think that running for this amount of time uses only a miniscule amount of oil. Any thoughts or advice would be welcome. Thank you.
