damp meter

Post by zaffy »

I have a couple of stains on the plaster ceiling. They were there when I moved in, but I think one is getting worse, but it could be my imagination. Will a damp meter tell me if the plaster is wet or dry? Or are damp meters only effective for very wet areas?
Thanks

A damp meter reads the resistance of what ever you "probe" The surface being tested doesn't have to be wet to show a reading.

If you are not sure if it is getting bigger, why not mark the area with...........a pencil
Above are my opinions Below is my signature.

Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.
