If that question is aimed at me, a single dwelling is a single dwelling. The number of floors is irrelevant.

The huge exception would be a house converted into flats ….

It was not clear to me given the discussion about fire issues in the previous posts. It was just interesting.

Just to confuse things - Part B of the building regs requires 3 store dwellings to have fire rated ceilings and therefore have fire rated downlights.

What about the huge hole in the ceiling where the stairs go? That’s a far bigger threat to the safety
