Faulty Impact driver (DCF887)
I’ve had my new impact and drill for nearly 2 years and my impact is now faulty. On my impact there are 3 speed settings and I always have it on the top speed. Recently I have gone to use it and it has no power (as if I have it on the 1 speed) and just won’t work. I have used several fully charged batteries from 5.0Ah (comes with standard) and 2.0Ah and can confirm it is the impact itself and not the batteries. Every once in a while it works normally then suddenly I’ll put the next screw in and it will lose all power again. When it loses power it spins slower than the 1 setting and has no power at all to even spin a screw. I did not register it under warranty as reviewed it as a gift and was too late. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance.
