Fitting double cupboard doors to smaller space.

Hi - I have recently removed my sliding doors from double cupboard. I now want to use these doors as normal closet doors as opposed to sliding. The door size I have is 726mm wide x 2040mm high.
I need to fit these doors to thew existing opening which is 1420mm wide x 2080mm high. I'm OK with the door height because I will pad out the opening to meet the door height. Were Im looking
for support is that I'm using 2 doors @ 726mm wide to fit into a 1420mm gap. to do this and allowing for a 3mm gap at each hinge end and were the two doors meet ,which equates to 9mm. I
now need 2 doors which would fit 1411mm, approx. 705mm wide per doors, which means removing 21mm from the width of each door.

These doors are fairly cheap, white, 6 panel doors from B and Q. I have used them in the past, where I have had to trim 10 mm or so from the length of the door, which is fairly straight forward, as I just
glue and pin back a slither of the door back to the bottom.

Can I do the same for the width of the door, obviously removing the 20mm from the non hinge side of the door? Fairly long winded so apologies.
