Refit joist/upper cord section

Hi
Hi. I have a small outside dbl/garage with a fink truss roof,the upper cord/rafter has been cut partially for a velux,it looks well supported but we think its wrong.Can i or a carpenter refit missing section ,is a repair poss.Any help welcome ,

Removing the velux and refitting the missing section with support,returning our roof to the way it was made to be.

Should be easier to remove the velux than fit one in all honesty. I can't see in the pictures but it's not uncommon for the rafters either side of the velux to be doubled up and they can stay as they are if they have. It's really just a case of removing the window and putting in a rafter in the opening to carry the tile laths.
Take the window out carefully and you'll be able to sell it on.
