Oven under sink
I'm fitting a mini kitchen in a cupboard where there is very limited space and plan to fit an integrated combi oven into a niche under a sink. Are there any regs or common sense rules preventing this? The cooker switch/spur can be located away from any areas at risk of drips and the oven and sink separated with a sheet of ply.

Yes.
Above are my opinions Below is my signature.
Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.

Get a double air fryer, cooks quicker and it can sit on a worktop or be put in a cabinet when not in use. Sink wastes and water feeds will prevent fitting anything under. Water and electrics are not a good combo.

Thanks for replies.
There is no space in the cupboard kitchen for any electrical items like an air fryer to sit on the worktop. It sits under a sloping roof.
With the worktop at 900mm there is still space for a combi oven (microwave, grill, oven) (455mm) under the sink and waste trap (305mm). Hotpoint MP676IXH and Rangemaster Mayon if anyone is interested.
My thinking is that this arrangement can be achieved safely by ensuring there is a waterproof layer between the sink and cooker niches to prevent any unexpected leakage from the waste or seals around the sink to drain away from the cooker.
I have not found any regs preventing this.

I think sink must be 300mm away form oven - UK reg but you need to check. Sink and oven in same kitchen unit is a risk. Can't you put an electric oven microwave combo on kitchen wall using shelf/bracket or similar

I've seen several references to the 300mm rule but that appears to be horizontally and relates to the distance from the edge of the sink to an electrical socket to prevent splashes into the socket. I don't think there is anything preventing an oven being located under (or over) the sink, strange as that might seem. Hence the common sense question.
I'm installing this kitchen in a cupboard in a corridor, so space is really, really limited!
I see that there are companies like Elfin Kitchens that do this commercially and actually market examples of kitchens with ovens under sinks, so I think I will go ahead!!

Probably you're safe doing it, Elfin is doing it for studio flat, student house HMOs. according to link below:
https://elfinkitchens.co.uk/affordable- ... w-colours/
You need to check how they're doing it to keep it within UK reg.

It does and I will be sure to obtain an EICR prior to letting.
Will post back here when I've completed. Thanks all for comments.
