Need a key for this lock

Post by flembot »

Hi guys, this metal door is attached to the gable wall of our home (we own the house).
Think this door houses a flow and return pipes for an old communal heating system that used to be used in these properties. We are considering bricking this up. But need to first get the door opened!

Anyone know what this type of lock is? Anyone know where I could buy a key to fit this lock?

Thanks in advance!

Looks like a half moon service key, a flat blade should do the trick, if not undo the gutter bolts, push on the lock to stop the nuts spinning

Seems like I can turn it with a flat blade, but nothing seems to unlock or come free.

If I were to undo the gutter bolts and removed the lock, would the door spring open or something?

Whatever I do with this I need to be able to close it again as this is a public facing wall right onto a walkway. Essentially I want to be able to secure it again.
