Bathroom fan

Post by BR36 »

Hi, I’m swapping a bathroom extractor fan which is currently controlled by the light switch. There is no separate isolation switch for the fan itself, is that OK or should it also have its own DP isolator?

Many thanks. Was a bit confused as the instructions with the new fan said it should have but from what I’d read online , it’s suggested it’s not the case.

Bathroom fan

Well if your new fan does not have a run on timer incorporated and the extra convenience and safety of a fan isolator switch, preferably positioned outside the bathroom, then not necessary, my opinion.
