Tile arrangement in my bathroom

Post by Dxc712 »

Hello

I'm currently looking at tiles for my new bathroom and have seen 61cm x 31cm tiles that I quite like.

I think they will be best laid out flat (longer side horizontal) than laid out upwards (longer side vertical).

For tiles of that size, is it generally better to have them arranged in a brick pattern or stacked with each row directly above the one below?

Personal preference regards brickwork or not, large format tiles can be a bugger to lay properly, you'll probably need to back butter them. oh and landscape (longer side horizontal) makes the room seem bigger and portrait(longer side upwards) makes the room seem narrower/smaller.

I think having them stacked will look better.
