Undercloak

Post by Lozzablue80s »

Hello, I've finally found out what this is actually called! Some 'undercloak' has come away from the edge of the roof and I've been trying to figure out how best to fix it. Property is 15 years old and the rest of the roof looks ok (to the untrained eye). Can I just buy some new underclaok sheet and slot it back in, I don't want any further damage to be caused with colder wetter weather. There also seems to be a little hole which may allow birds in which isn't ideal. Any advice greatly appreciated.

Undercloak

my thoughts but no expert
as it is looks like any falling water will shed without damage
unless you can fit a new bit and at least 6mm overlap from what's there to allow water to shed, fitting anything there will trap water by capillary action
