Rattle after EGR valve replacement

Post by FlyingDutchMan »

Hi, I was wondering, what do you mean by installed the gaskets incorrectly? There is only one way, right?
I ask because I have the same problem. I've installed 2 different egr's now and both rattle like crazy when idling. I have tightened the bolts of the connections with the gaskets first, and then the mounting bolts. There does not seem to be a leak anywhere, I've even tested it with soapy water.
It's driving me nuts! Do you have any suggestion?
Thanks

:welcomeuhm: It's considered bad form to dig up old threads. I've started you a new one. Original can be found here viewtopic.php?t=106675

Also, Jdm2803's last appearance on this forum is the one you replied to, so it is doubtful he will ever read your question. (sorry about that) Always look when a poster was last active before you reply.
Above are my opinions Below is my signature.

Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.

 If gloom had a voice, it would be me.
