Outside Conduit Drain Hole(s)

From here: https://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Book/4.5.1.htm
3. - Conduit systems must be designed and erected so as to exclude moisture, dust and dirt. This means that they must be completely closed, with box lids fitted. To ensure that condensed moisture does not accumulate, small drainage holes must be provided at the lowest parts of the system.
This is 16th edition. Is it in the current regs?

Does anyone on here drill drain holes?

If so, my guess would be to drill them in the lower back of the appropriate parts, similar to outdoor sockets. Is that correct?

The current regs edition is 18.

It is always worth drilling a small hole in the back corner of any plastic box that will never be buried.

Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.
