double glazed window air vent cover - where to buy?

Post by brissle »

I have white UPVC double glazed windows installed 20+ years ago.
They have small holes at the bottom of each frame into which is plugged a small (approx 11mm diam) white cover to allow air circulation, but prevent rain or insects getting in.
They look like this:

I have searched Amazon, ebay and Google but can no longer find these.
Can anyone please suggest where to buy them?
Thanks

I always think window vents are a waste of time. Cold air in winter and fairly useless in summer, it is best to use the window ajar lock that most handles have and are seldom used. As for the holes I would glue on white screw cap covers.

OK thanks.
The vents on my windows don't go right through.
I thought the purpose was to prevent condensation building up inside the (presumably) hollow UPVC frames. I imagine it can creep in round the double glazed glass units?
As no-one else has replied, I have to assume my vent covers are no longer manufactured.
Thanks again.

brissle, what you have are actually weep holes, they are there so that any moisture inside the frame has an escape route, the covers are purely decorative and serve no other function.
