Hello, I need to fit a through-the-wall parcel box. I have a small wall. My wall is 2300 wide, my new doors will be 1700 wide. This leaves 600 left. The size is 373 and with frame 430. This leaves 170. Assuming I leave 6cm between the door and the parcel box this leave 11cm. Is this enough to leave at the edge of the wall, or does it need to be further away?
Many thanks
How far away from the corner do you need to be when fitting built-in parcel box?

Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.

Hi, thanks for replying. I was thinking about 6 cm away from the door and about 17cm from the parcel box to the wall. I'm happy at that, I just want to make sure I don't run into problems with it being so close to the corner.

i would suggest checking the internal and external wall points to the side to make sure they line up
you also need to check in the brick area whether support is required for area above before depleting support[making an opening]

if the door has a supporting lintel over the top it may need perhaps a 200-300mm amount off wall to support the weight so needs checking
and just saying features outside that look like they transfer seamlessly to the inside can often be staggered
