I am sorry to hear of your father's stroke. Can I ask if it is a left or right-side stroke? I ask as I had a left-hand stroke 6 years ago when I was 66 and if you put the rehab work in you can get back. The rule is 3 weeks, 3 months, and 3 years. The harder and quicker you work on your rehab the better the results. I was 90% recovered in 3 months because I pushed myself really hard. If it is a right hand stroke it is much harder to recover as speech and cognitive skills are affected. I hope you find the help you need but do give your dad some encouragement.

Sorry to hear of your dad, I should point out that like most forums the few of us who post are far and wide and none live in Hertfordshire, I would try a local group on Facebook, or an ad in the local paper (If it still exists)
Above are my opinions Below is my signature.

Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.
