Central heating receiver not working - Salus RT500RF

Post by brokencornets »

Hi

My Salus RT500RF receiver is no longer working. The controller works fine and the boiler is working fine for hot water, however the receiver has no lights.

The receiver is on the same fuse as the boiler and the wiring is secure, it's been working fine for 7+ years but has suddenly stopped.

Is it just time to replace the central heating controls? Or could it be something more simple?

If I do need to replace, will all brands use a similar wiring set-up and therefore an easy like-for-like change?

Central heating receiver not working - Salus RT500RF

Have you actually checked for voltage at the receiver?
Above are my opinions Below is my signature.

Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.

You have been lucky that a Salus has lasted that long!

I would replace it.
