I was reading that the winner of this pompous awards ceremony, that most have scant interest in, is a series called Shogun. Shogun is a seres that made it to my Not Worth A Watch thread as I found it shite and dumped it quickly. Obviously the luvvies who vote thought differently. This James Cavell book was made into a mini series in the 70s and it is far better than this pap version. The rest of the awards were dubious decisions also.

My mind is always drawn back to a time when we had the chart show on at a job but the sentiments work just as good for these award shows. The radio had just played the no 1 , the best selling record and my friend said “ well if that’s the best record just how shite are the rest”….
