What are some living room layout ideas without a TV?
Another Q please… I’m seeking some inspiration for a living room layout that doesn’t include a TV. I’d love to see any pictures you can share!

What are some living room layout ideas without a TV?
Most people have a TV in a principal living area, it is unusual not to. We have a wall-mounted TV which is better for us as it does not use a floor area and it allows a big screen size that would be awkward in a corner space. However, I can understand that some folk do not have a TV and may use laptops or tablets as needed. I cannot see in this day and age that a living room layout without a TV would be like a doctor's waiting room but I am sure there are some Holy Joes who become all virtuous and tell the world that they never watch TV I read books. Smart TV's are so much more these days. Perhaps you can explain your ideas more clearly if I have read you wrong.

Well assuming this is a genuine inquiry and not a spam lead you need a focal point to give a room the correct feel. A fireplace is a traditional focal point as all furniture was centered around the heat source in times gone by. This continues to be true today and invariably a fireplace and TV are close. Rooms without this seem soulless, we have a small room that is called a snug these days by many. It is a bit soulless in there even though there is a small TV for the grandchildren when they were younger. We hardly use it. I assume you are living with the cast of Woodstock if you need to isolate yourself, there is always the bog.

Going to have this same problem soon.
Not had a TV license for nearly 20 years, used a TV just for playing DVD's etc. In the past few years though we have used it less and less preferring instead to watch what little TV/Youtube we do watch on a laptop or reading. So the plan is to get rid of the TV soon and rearrange the living room.
