Electric pressurised heating system

Hi there,

Currently looking at purchasing a property which has had an electric pressurised heating system installed in 2022.

We are unsure as to was this is? We have been made aware of grants to have older heating system upgraded but this seems new? We are just a bit concerned with how much electric heaters cost to run?

Can anyone shed some light on this supposedly new heating system? The property looks like it's had work done on the cheap to be honest and not sure if that applies to this system?

ask to look at there actual electric bills winter and summer and check the house was occupied for any bills they show you

what ever it costs will be around 3 times the cost off gas

Eeek, the house isn't occupied currently. The owner is in a home hence the sale to pay for there care home.

With it being installed 2022 I don't think it's eligable for the heat pump heating system either. The other option might be a grant for solar panels?

Electric heating is very expensive. Is the house in a gas area, you are looking at £4k plus for a decent combi boiler that will give good heat and hot water. Forget heat pumps and solar make an offer that allows for a new boiler or walk away and find something with gas.

Unless you are on means tested benefits like tax credits pension credits or similar help is very unlikely or just a small perhaps 20% contribution will be available toward renewing an old system

We do receive child benefit. Filled in a few questionnaires which say we should be eligible for a grant.

Will put in a cheeky low offer. The property does need a complete decorate with carpets as well as a new bathroom. Did contact a few companies last week who said the grants are mainly for the heat pump systems
