Cordless Vacuums

Post by dewaltdisney »

Mrs D was moaning about humping our Dyson DC04 about as it is heavy and the cord is a nuisance. I was visiting a friend and his wife was showing me her new cordless stick like Vax which I thought was quite good. I had a look at it online and was shocked to see the cost was the best part of £200. I was not prepared to take a risk on something that might be a gimmick and not up to the job so I had a look on Amazon and found a clone type for £50 that I thought was worth a punt. It arrived within 12 hours of ordering (well done Amazon) and I immediately put the battery on charge. I have to say for a cheap machine it did a good job of hoovering up some paper from our paper shredder I used as a test. I then spent about 25 minutes vacuuming my car (detaching the long tube and using the body with attachments) the carpets were a bit of a mess because it is a pain to get my workshop vac out and I tend to let the footbourne debris mount up. It did a very good job I have to say so my cheapy seems like a good buy at the moment. Of course, knowing my luck with lithium batteries I expect it to fail but I have proved it to be conventionally right and this might encourage me to get a known brand if it fails. So far so good, I recharged it and it took about 4 hours which is not an issue, we do not use a vac that often and still have our conventional Dyson and a Vax upstairs we acquired (Mrs D's late mum) I will report back in due course.
