Line of Duty

Jesus, Mary, Joseph, and the wee donkey: The BBC is bringing this creaking series back for a seventh series. The first two series were quite good but sadly declined over the next four series. The series is set within a Police internal corruption unit, and it would have you believe that every second Police officer is linked to an organised crime group. In reality, our Police have been watered down over time by poor recruitment, they want degree entrants and this has seen the demise of the force just like nurses who have similar requirements. In the past Police officers were tall, tough young men (and women) who had strength of character, animal cunning, and a belief in right or wrong. Now through poor management, they are scared to offend minorities and carry out a two-tier level of protecting the public. Burglaries and car theft are hardly investigated, shoplifting (although epidemic) is ignored and their main focus is the motorist.

I doubt that series 7 will reflect this and lefty writer Joe Mecurio will no doubt spin out a load of woke shite that will not relate to the world as we all know it. One to miss before it starts I think.

The first two series were good but it lost its way for me.
