Random slab by side of house
I have a random paving slab on its side in a huge concrete foundation by the side of my house in the middle of the pebble pathway. there is no water, gas or electric pipework nearby, they are all on the other side. Any ideas what it is for ? I am about to drill a hole through it to lay a cable

septic tank, hidden room, spare slab, rubbish, to make you wonder what it's for, trap door, hide a tunnel etc.
Picture would be nice.

Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.
If gloom had a voice, it would be me.

There is no logical explanation for that concrete chamber other than it was laid in error with the groundwork when the building was put up. If there are no apparent services obvious then that would support the theory. If you are concerned you could have a chat with the local building control officer who might look at the BC record or have a look in on his travels. That is what happened in the old days but councils are money hungry these days so they might charge. If so forget it.
