Adjustable lens glasses

Post by dewaltdisney »

I saw these glasses advertised on adverts on one of the apps I use. The idea is that there is a lens adjustment knob that controls each lens increasing or decreasing the diopter focus for each eye. They sound ideal for close work when I find that I cannot see properly the detail when my reading glasses are insufficient. They are only around £8, China specials. However, looking at the reviews on Amazon they have very poor reviews likening them to Christmas cracker gift quality. Has anyone tried these, are they worth a punt?

I believe I have seen an ad for them, any review that is bad often means a real person tried something (As opposed to the fake reviews that say it is good) but for £8 and from Amazon what have you to lose, you can always send them back within 30 days with Amazon

Yes, Fair point, I guess I really would like them to work as it sounds like they would be really useful for me. I think I will follow your advice and give them a go. I will report back in due course. Nothing ventured nothing gained.

They arrived yesterday and sadly they are shite and I am returning them to Amazon today. What a shame, the concept sounded great but they just did not work better than reading glasses, there was no noticeable magnification.

They are winging their way back already. The glasses have a double lens where you can adjust the gap between the front and back lenses to increase magnification. The adjustment wearing them only gave me one clear image and that had less magnification than my 2.5 reading glasses. Here is a link to what I bought https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0D6B5GW1S? ... asin_title
I was really disappointed that they did not work for me. Never mind.
