Insulated plasterboard

Post by smiffy »

I want to cover some of the walls in my house with insulated plasterboard and am thinking of using Gyproc Thermaline 22mm. If I fix it using dabs of Dri-wall adhesive do I have to go back to bare brickwork or can I go straight onto the existing plaster which is sound and dry? Roughly how many sheets of board will a bag adhesive do? I have heard that some mechanical fixings are also required, what type?
Or is it better to batten the walls?
