can you melt perspex

hey i wanted to know if you can melt perspex into "blobs" from a sheet? they need to be fairly chunky thicker then the original sheet. can it be done?

I don't know as I have never tried it.

I would guess that it would set on fire first, just one word of warning is that toxic chemicals can be released when it is burned.

what do you want to do?
you may burn the perspex during the melting...
