Re: Kitchen project inc. 1 wall in and 1 wall out
I've fixed it in now with L brackets. The cabinets are all well fixed so hopefully it'll be ok.
All of the skirting boards are cut. They're just getting their first oil. 2 of the worktops have had their 6th tonight and the sink corner is on its 4th so a couple more to go.

Be careful with the rags used to apply the Danish oil, bung them outside when you are done as there is a slight risk if spontaneous combustion. Best to flatten them as screwed up rags are potentially the most susceptible.

Good advice there DWD. Rags containing any of the various oils used for worktops etc are a real fire hazard, if not treated properly.

Electrics are now connected to the mains so everything is working without the need for extension leads!
Tiles are all on apart from the bit around the window. We're waiting on the windowsill before we can do that bit.
We'll be grouting once there're all on.
I'll upload some pics once this new tap talk update let's me! I've had to register. Now it keeps saying server not available. Very strange!

Re: Kitchen project inc. 1 wall in and 1 wall out
Looks fantastic - coming together nicely!
Knowing me I would get water everywhere from drying dishes etc. I think I would have needed the whole area of the draining ridges recess say 3mm then with the ridges milled into this recess.
I suppose this would be a good reason for me not to do dishes though.....

The blind is up!
And most of the skirting boards are glued and wedged in position. I'm hoping they'll grab enough to not have to fix and plug them

Re: Kitchen project inc. 1 wall in and 1 wall out
I think we can just about call this one done!
One or two minor things that I may add a picture of (like the pantry door) but for now my attention turns to the lounge ;-)
Thanks for all of the nice comments and advice along the way.

Oh go on then, one more pic!
Haha.
The sofa will in time be replaced by the dining table. We've put it in the kitchen for now whilst we completely empty the lounge and get cracking on with that.
