Re: Bathroom rebuild - Work in progress
Love the Keene in wall amps, hate that they feel the need to stick their name in in huge letters on the front each time. Same with the white or glass frosted ones.
They should have a logo or let people pay (a couple of quid) extra to have it looking nicer.

I agree... I had a cambridge audio amp in the loft but decided on the Keene. It's not too bad and the sound is unreal for its size.

Re: Bathroom rebuild - Work in progress
Thank you. Any labour saved has well and truley been absorbed in materials / fittings I would say! A decent holiday missed out on at least.Virgin wrote:Proper job - love that laser as well highlights the standard you've set yourself
Be interested to know what the total cost would be for this - you must have saved a fair bit in labour and it looks top spec bathroom ... well done
Would be interesting to know if it this job has added value to the house I wonder?? (that wasn't the reason)

Re: Bathroom rebuild - Work in progress
What's the Keene amp like? I had a look on their web site and they say it's no sub for a audio amp, I'd be happy if it sounded reasonable (as good as a decent micro system or something)
What's thecnc machined Ali in the first pic? I can see an iPhone cable! Are you streaming with an airport express

The amp is superb. Handles the polks very well. Its only a bathroom, not a night club so is ample (pardon the pun)
all cables are behind, nothing is connected to the fascia, yes i have an airport express hard wired to the rear
cnc ally is a bracket for the shower screen, very trick!

Night club! You don't like dancing in the shower? lol
Keene amp sounds like what I'm after.
Damn fine job you've done all in all, wish i had the time and the skill to do mine myself, maybe just some bits. Ill never have a go at plastering the ceiling again, Disaster.

Re: Bathroom rebuild - Work in progress
PVC? I think not
It is not an external wall / window. There was an extension years ago (its an 1800's cottage) On the other side is a study area.
I have removed the rubbish textured glass and will be repainting the frames with satinwood (actually the girlfrend will be) and I have some frosted glass cut ready to slot in
I will never have pvc windows other than in a conservatory if it can be helped as long as I live in period properties...
