This morning about 7-7:30 wouldn't load a page, and wouldn't refresh after I posted, but now looking, it had actually accepted my post

Have you thought to ask William on Diynot as both forums are acting the same way.

Slow on and off. from 01:00

Thats interesting.

If I click on something "forum down" for example, it doesn't load unless I move the mouse away.

I'll try it on the submit button.

edit.

submitted ok but didn't fully load, and the green thing stop going round, but started again when I moved the mouse.

edit 2.

Definitely connected to the mouse movement.

One for wine~o to try if it does it in the morning.

I have been onto support and they have asked me to perform a traceroute when the forum is going slow. This will be difficult for me as I am often at work when it happens so if anyone that experiences problems regularly could please perform a traceroute and pm me the results when the site is going slow I would appreciate it.

You can download a free program for doing the traceroute- http://www.analogx.com/contents/downloa ... eeware.htm

If you download the program and run it at the bottom there is a text entry box, if you enter http://www.ultimatehandyman.co.uk then hit the trace button it will perform a traceroute. When it has finished click the copy button, then paste it into a private message to me. I'll then forward it to support for them to look at :thumbleft:

Support have ansewred and have done the following-

I have reconfigured the connection limit and settings of apache now to allow for more traffic and better handling and flushed the firewall. I also set a cron to restart apache every 6 hours to keep it refreshed and avoid any build up to cause it to lag.

Hopefully this will eradicate the slow loading page problem

I've just downloaded that link Chez.

Will use it if it goes slow again here.

I just done a trace whilst everything is working good as a comparison, if that means anything :?

Your 11 is the same as my 15.

109.200.27.10 machine name 10-27-200-109. rackcentre.redstation.net.uk

Perhaps it's to do with this. apart from that being 8 hours not 6hrs.
I also set a cron to restart apache every 6 hours to keep it refreshed
