I'm not too worried about it going over to be honest. The wall looks quite recently built with decent mortar so I think it will be ok. And if not, I might have a nice little job rebuilding it lol. It took an absolute battering from the wind a few weeks back and no problem.etaf wrote: ↑Fri Jun 25, 2021 2:34 pmoh OK< makes sense now , thanksthat it just died
I have a fence along the side of house , where the post are not in the ground and bolted to a small single brick wall , and in a windy costal area, been up since my mother-in-law had it built in the 90's
Although Our Posts are only 6 bricks width apart , need to look at the post size , but i think its 45x65 , with extra posts bolted on to the wall

the smaller 216mm dewalt mitre saw was gonna be my suggestion to the op like. decent machines that have been adapted from a very well worked out elu machine. the lack of a trenching facility on those is neither here nor there really. i rarely use the trench facility on my festool mitre saw

I ended up going with the 10 inch Erbauer one from screwfix as I had some gift cards left over from Christmas! Lol.
It's actually pretty good. Wasn't accurate out of the box, but I doubt any are. But now I've tweaked it, it's pretty much spot on.
The mitre angles are true to the gauge, but the bevels not so much. I use an angle finder for bevels anyway. Seems sturdily built, and the blade gives a decent cut for an included one.
Just built some decking with it, and put the boards on diagonal with a picture frame border, so plenty of mitred cuts needed and it dealt with it no problem. Didn't seem to fray the edges on wet boards either.
Only time will tell how robust it is but happy so far. One downside is it's bloody heavy!
