Interesting - Thats just my experience (Note - just as a DIYer) having laid 1 large ground floor house , Hall, Lounge,Dining, Kitchen all round the ground floor and joined back up to the hallway - no thresholds at all

I found we had no issues with the freud blade and it completed the whole job using just that one 80T blade. No tear out problem, perfect cuts , no smoke , even on the last cut. I did get it sharpened after we finished. We used the 80T , but i also made quite a lot of cuts using MDF & treated Fence posts/panels on the 60T so had that sharpened at same time (80T = £21.86 60T = £16.39 inc VAT) , so quite expensive considering the Saxtonblade replacement cost. Hence now I only buy the SaxtonBlades, the 80T 250mm blade is £17.99 inc Vat
My 165mm Circular saw, which i use a lot, freud resharpen was £13.13 and the 48T saxton Thin kerf £11.99 inc vat

The finish on MDF is great and a nice clean cut, also cut some laminate worktop.

We had some Bosch laminate Jigsaw blades as well as scroll blades for some awkward bits, on the flooring.
