just be aware that a 10 year old charger will only charge the battery type off the time and as li-ons where not available compatibility with a tool may not mean the charger can [safely]charge the battery
if they are nicad [now being phased out]or nmh[nickel metal hydrate] they may charge but li-ions can catch fire iff wrongly charged
