Black Stain for Oak Bannister Rail

I am really pleased with how this actually turned out and glad I stayed with my original plan. Water based stain followed by 2 coats of varnish and a final ‘dead flat’ varnish for the waxed look.

Always nice to see how things turn out and that looks good. I like the way the black is complimented by the edging of the runner.
