Shame Finnon, maybe next time.

As a complete aside Eddie Howe moved here (Verwood) as a child and played for a local kids team before going on to be pro player.

absolutely no disgrace in the way we played on sunday.

aye there was a foul for their free kick which lead to them scoring. they then got lucky with a deflection.

newcastle united have come on massively in the last year. absolutely unrecogniseable. A year ago if someone said by the time it is march 2023 newcastle would have lost to liverpool twice in the league (outplaying them both and in one game with 10 men) manchester united in the league cup final and come out of it with their heads held high and the other loss is sheffield wednesday in the fa cup. that game the manager making numerous changes to the starting line up. well no newcastle fan would have beleived that.

aye weve had a lot of draws. but..... we are still doing very very well. Its only a matter of time i think now.

wembley was a canny trip. The atmosphere the newcastle fans generated was something else. It was a shame we ended up in a mixed area so there was some man united fans. One of them asked me and my mate who were both wearing black and white what we thought the score would be.... so we said wed go for a 2-1 victory. He said ohhhh i think united will win....... But i mean the propper united,...... not your lot.

He was informed by me that newcastle united had been in existence for 10 years before newton heath changed their name. the propper united indeed :angryfire: :angryfire: :angryfire: :angryfire:

gutted me and my mate didnt make it down there on the saturday. that would have been class to go to trafalgar square.

be like the time south shields played at wembley. everyone met up at covent garden the night before. the pubs there did some trade. think we drank them all dry haha. litterally you came round the corner and it was just like being in south shields. just local accents everywhere.

think that day south shields actually took 25k down to wembley. bet the roads were quiet in town that day

Watched the Toon v Man City game with my son in Falkirk. Pretty shite game to be honest. Newcastle need to up the speed of their game. Their build up isn't quick enough. Defenders now scared to tackle that's why Foden was allowed to score.

Now my sons shouting for EH's head. It's a fickle game.

On a positive note I took him on a stadium tour to Celtic Park the day before. Told him this is what a big stadium looks like. It had the desired effect because he bit like an alligator 🐊 😂

Aye, Willocks pass for the fourth was sublime. Of course, I was working so didn't watch it until the 68th minute by which time the game was well and truly over. I watched the highlights.

weve been absolutely class this season at times but struggled a touch lately a lot of draws. not bad for a squad still containing some players from the championship season.
You have been GREAT this season. ANd, a champions league spot is well deserved!!
